To read posts of Soaringspirit always soars one's spirit and more so when she talks about what really makes a woman independent. It does encourage us to free ourselves from the hitherto inhibitions and soar up in spirit!

My dear friends,

Please do not think that Kamla turns up everymonth like a bad penny!! My fellow moderator and wizard of words, Vidya, is unfortunately out of internet reach presently. Hence your's truly pops in again this month:)

Although it is a sheer joy to be assigned to this forum, the downside of it is we have to nominate one as a winner when all the nominations are so overwhelming!

Though contributions from our prominent members are nominated month after month, we are unable to consider them as they have voluntarily withdrawn from the race and have thus made our choosing a shade easier!

Let me hasten to add that no one is really thinking of any race when they share their thoughts and aspirations by writing beautiful posts. We are just trying to sort out the pearls in the oysters and present it here so everyone gets to enjoy:)

This January too saw many such pearls. We enjoyed reading lofty thoughts ranging in topics such as Gita, Mahatma, Parents, Elders and Love to more pearls of wisdom in the form of advice to an ailing marriage or how we go about dealing with old and infirm. Maybe, in memory of one fine post nominated this month, I should call all the nominations as 'tare' (stars) instead of pearls?!! And if I were Shanvy, I would have written a gentle poem on them !:(

To conclude, I can only state again that it was a pure pleasure to go through all the nominations, we are blessed with such brilliant writings! Also, thanks to those who spot them and bring it to our forum.
