Dearest Kamla and Vidya,

Firstly let me apologize profusely for being on a high all day after reading the winner announcement but yet acknowledging it only now- so late in the day. I was in an off-site meeting all day so had no means to reply other than may be typing in a small Thank You which in no way would have expressed how honored I feel today.

My heartfelt THANK YOU for bestowing this honor on me. I am speechless. It means the world to me to know that my writing is so well received.

It will be grossly unfair if I give the credit for this honor solely to my writing. I am a firm believer in the adage “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”. What I write appeals to you only because you perceive it in such an appreciative and positive way. I am not trying to sound modest here. I just want to be truthful (at least to myself!).

I am deeply touched by the open-arms welcome I have received at IL and the love that I have been showered upon in my short stint here. I feel like I have been a part of the IL family for eons.

I feel extremely privileged to be among such warm and genuine people like you.

You have set my spirit soaring really very high today! It will be impossible for anything to dampen my spirits today!
