| This is my first ever nomination in IL and I hope I have done a worthy post which really demands a salute. A true need of the hour. A picturesque of today's generation well framed by Kamalji; for we have derived our "smartness" from our previous genres "dumbness" !! A direction to his thread: http://www.indusladies.com/forums/sn...en-oldies.html Many advance wishes dear Kamalji. Regards RamyaVaradharajan

| Dear Ramya, Welcome to Finest Posts! Kamlji has indeed penned a scathing post pricking the bubble of impertinence and impudence in the smart sassies of today. We owe all to our parents and fore fathers- their hard work and parsimony gave us this life. Their morals, values and discipline gave us this peace of mind and welfare. We cannot promise even half this to our children. A worthy post, a worthy nomination that all must read. regards Vidya |

| Dear Vidya ma'am, The endearing genre comprising our parents and fore fathers were marked and featured for their patience and guidance. We must be fortunate enough for having established connection with them genetically. They have added flavor to our existence and the frame work should never be forgotten. "Our life is what we make it" and why not make it colorful with the experience of the experienced ? To revel in the miracles and mysteries; to embrace life with joy and happiness; to zero in the apt choice of ours; the weaving of all such essence threads makes LIFE a worthy accomplishment in its own way. Regards RamyaVaradharajan

| Ramya, You write very well! I just read your post on today's meet in Mrs Pushpa's house and it was interesting. You could just address me as 'Vidya', the 'ma'am' sounds very impressive but I dont deserve it. regards Vidya |

| Dear most Vidya ma'am (you are very humble and hence deserve the best) !! A compliment from an excel writer!! I never expected . "Excellence" is what i have observed from all your reply posts to other writers and i would say you "spin your world and your web" at the click of the mouse. True and honest "determination and leadership" tags are what you have attached to your esteemed replies.Thank you very much for boosting up my spirits. My apologies for having converted this "nomination" thread in to a "thanks giving" one! My regards and best wishes for the nomination selection process! RamyaVaradharajan

| Dear Friends, Please go through Divorce or live together? Every person is a friend to the other in IL, identifying with her so much, offering very fruitful, practical advice based on personal experience, when we go through a crisis in life - this is my firm belief for the past few months, which is amply proved in this thread. I wonder if Malathy & Jey realise, what a great platform they have provided for all Indian ladies. They need to be given an award for their service ! Love, Chithra. |

| Mrs ChitVish, Thank you for nominating yet another valuable and sustaining thread in FP. You have identified a whole, active, compassionate thread that serves the philosophy of IL being a support group and a social networking platform. And yes, thanks to Malathy and Jey for providing us this resource on a platter. Divorce or Live together- a thread with a multi million dollar question and a million morals tagged to it. drjp who has posed this question has moved to more calrity as the thread progresses. Special mention has to be made about the members who replied here, sharing their personal, painful experiences that have become cathartic over the years. Induskr, Ria2006, Soaringspirit, Sumathy, Poomansri, yginca, sravanti, geeta satish, and the others have all opened up to the question. drjp who has posed this question has written in one of the last posts, I quote here,' These messages have been my friends now, and I look forward to these every day. ' What more do we need to tell us that this is one thread with many practical lessons of life, for life. We wish all the ladies who wrote in that thread and all ladies everywhere a lot of peace in 2008 and beyond. regards Vidya & Kamla Last edited by Vidya24; 25th December 2007 at 02:36 AM. |

| Dear Kamla and Vidya, I am pleased to nominate Shanvy's Post, My Pound of Flesh. And here's the link http://www.indusladies.com/forums/sn...-of-flesh.html The post talks about heartless people who have been cruel to Shanthi during her difficult times. Being hurt, being let down, being betrayed, she had the courage to forgive them all and the love to share those trying moments with us. As a tribute Shanthi's moral strength, I nominate this post to be the finest of December, 2007. Regards, |

| Dear Sridhar, It is a happy day for FP when you visit that too with a sterling nomination. Maybe it is the writer in you, you have nominated a post that teaches us all the meaningful lessons of life. My Pound of Flesh by shanvy is one that tells us that there is better virtue in letting go. Such posts are not uncommon in pop psychology or in email forwards. But Shanvy's post has one major qualitative difference. This post comes to us first person from the heart of one who we know is a good human being. She has articulated her feelings without rancour and malice. There is sadness, and even a tinge of justifiable anger, but not malice and no bitterness. The original and live components of this post make it special. A post we all have to read and learn from. affly Vidya |
