A person is caught by the Marshal for playing cards in the Church and the person objects to the arrest saying that the pack of cards is his Bible. He explains it thus:
Ace: The one true God
Deuce: The Old Testament and New Testament in the Bible
Three: The Holy Trinity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit/Ghost

This story reminds me of you. Devout people see the Divine in everything they do and you are no exception. Your obeisance to God and your philosophical rumination start right from the making of your morning cup of coffee. This particular day that you have so soulfully narrated is probably representative of your whole life. It is no wonder that you attract people like a magnet. That is what happens when people spend their lives in acts of charity of thoughts and deeds.

If we go by the golden rules of the Three Wise Monkeys viz. "see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil", most of us would have to be half blind, half deaf and half dumb. As we progress further into Kaliyuga, the percentage would increase to almost 100% if we have to remain virtuous and balanced.

I do agree that an impaired hearing is a handicap but not as much of a handicap that should push one into the background. I have the greatest admiration for Helen Keller who is a shining example of how to overcome such deficiencies and tower over the so-called normal people.

I am happy to hear that you were able to overcome your complex after reading the blogs of Varalotti. He is such an inspiring person who can make a squirrel face a lion squarely in the eyes. I am happy that you have won this month’s award for the finest contribution. Please accept my hearty congratulations.
