The Konark Dance Festival is a major attraction of Orissa. It is held in the month of December. During this festival, many eminent artists and performers display their skills in various forms of classical dances. The Konark Dance Festival is also a great platform for young budding dancers where they can exhibit their talent and win acclaim. The charmingly beautiful floodlit Sun Temple creates a magnificent backdrop and builds an ambience of fantasy. The principal dance forms performed here are Kathak, Odissi, and Bharatnatyam. A couple of years back, I was fortunate to visit this festival. I have beautiful memories of the Konark Dance Festival.
