nostalgic memory of another day, when all were around from my father in law to the vandus who were very cute, my husband running around in the night to put all in place, paruppu, arisi, thengai, lemon ,lamp, konne poovu,thayir,paal, silver coins, golden coin, all in place and the vegetable podalanga, vellari, all that in pinju pooshanikkai, all the seasonal fruits and the velakku should be shining showing all things around, waiting for the early morning bringing the kuttigal to the kani and showing them, asking them to put each coin to their eyes and pray ..look into the mirror decorated with a nice chain, and later in the day all coming forward to do namaskarm and counting the coins, as to how much they have collected...nice paal payasam and vadai along with the avial not to be missed and yericheri, with inji puli and nendranga varuval and chakkara upperi, some may have missed out in this new year but still it keeps coming year after year with new experiences how nice it would be if all here could share their experiences of the incidence that they had on this great day...a very happy tamil and malayalam new year to all my friends here in advance.....regards sunkan i will write what my kutti chithra did on one of the new year when she was only 4 on the new year day...
