Thanks Meenu,for talking about The Interface. ( A small correction - the website is www.theinterfaceonline.org -not com)
I have of late come across a lot of people in the 35 - 50 age group, who have a lot of disposable income, these days ,thanks to the IT boom, and have despaired at lackof knowledge of good causes to satisfy their social agenda. The social awareness is definitely growing and the amount is there for the asking. On the other end of the spectrum, the needs of the beneficiaries are also proportionately increasing. The Interface proposes to link these two ends - The Social Investor and the Socially challenged by partnering with small NGOs and trusts - only( not the Banyans and Scarfs) as they are doing a lot of good work without the wherewithal to fundraise on their own. These NGOs carry out the activity of reaching the funds to the actual beneficiary, and report back to The Interface who in turn gives the feedback to the Investor. So the benefit to the Investor is manyfold - the investment options are offered as a one stop shop and as a big bouquet of options, the activity has a reporting mechanism- thus ensuring that the Investor derives happiness and satisfaction through the impact he creates on the beneficiary, he gets his 80 G tax benefits, he can do it on the web and monitor the work in progress and the whole operation is carried out professionally with a personal touch.
