Re: Happy karthikai !!!  karthikai is celebrated for the welfare of the brothers, and we burn these lamps for him to have a good healthy and wealthy life, we make the pori urundai and appam and adai and call him over or send it over which ever is suitable, we also get money from brothers during this time, so it is more bonding and coming together of brother and sisters..hope all met your brothers on this day,, wish you all a very happy karthigai ..sunkan
