    8 things to conceive

    1. Maintain a healthy weight (and lose weight, if you’re overweight).
    2. Avoid trans fat. Trans fat is typically found in stick margarine, fried foods and hydrogenated oil.
    3. Stop eating excessive sugar and refined carbohydrates.
    4. Consume more protein from vegetables rather than from animals. Good sources of vegetable protein include beans (all types) and lentils.
    5. Eat fiber-rich foods. Best sources of fiber include vegetables, fruit and whole grains.
    6. Consider taking a standard multivitamin.
    7. Exercise every day for at least 30 minutes.
    8. Consume one daily serving of full-fat dairy (i.e., 1 cup whole milk, full-fat yogurt, or 1-2 ounces cheese). That’s because a recent report showed full-fat dairy may help increase fertility in women more so than low-fat/nonfat dairy. That said, full-fat dairy is loaded with calories and saturated fat, thus I recommend you make only ONE of your daily servings full fat.
Bottom line: Lose weight if you’re overweight, make smart food choices and exercise regularly — these lifestyle factors may help you become more fertile if you’re experiencing problems with ovulation.

    Really good points...thanks for sharing...

hema..please avoid maggi..if you are really tempted..my :my2cents would be..make use of hakkai noodles with your own seasoning and in the need just add very little amount of maggi tastemaker simmer and consume..

    Re: 8 things to conceive

dear hema, pls reduce ur maggie intake... it's really not good for health...
i was in Taipei for training for 6 months n since i was vegetarian and i dont have much option, so i take maggi every two days once..

my hormones got inbalance because of this maggi (i was very slim that time)... my hair starts to drop.... my body got weak. when i come back from Taipei, i had blood check-up and doc said my uric acid increased because of too much of maggi.. then he asked me to stop taking maggi for 3 months.. and then did blood test again and my blood was normal.. and my hair stop dropping... Maggi is really bad for health..

pls dear... try to eat other food... maybe u can prepare ur own
    noodles soup... but not maggi...

    Re: 8 things to conceive

    dear bambli,
thank you for alerting me about the ill effects of maggi and how it makes us over weight and also hormone problems...

i also avoid fast food like noodles, chaat items, pizzas, burgers etc and limit to only once in a 10 days or so.. but now the ad about maggi atta noodles - one maggi bar is equal to 3 chappatis is tempting me !!:drowning

as a vegetarian rice eater, i want some ways to avoid making chappatis --which is hard for me to make !!:hide:
either i should stop using the tastemaker and use my homemade masala or make semiya upma and eat with fork imagining it is noodles !!:rotfl
