    hey
I was on metformin for an year.. along with contraceptive DIANE.. for PCOd
later that year .. there was a polys removal/D&C .
I conceived 2 months after stopping OCPs.
Metformin is a very well researched drug.. extremely suitable for the combined symptoms of PCOD.. like insulin resistance, anovulation,hirsutism.. etc

    HI Gli,
I suppose OCP means Oral Contraceptive Pills!
In the initial few days Metformin will give vomiting sensation. Soon it will vanish.

    Hi All,

am against any kind of Pills let alone Contraceptive. I am married for 3 yrs ,have an toddler, till this date have not used any pills but still my intimate life is still good ( DH uses condom).

Please avoid taking contraceptive pills w/o consulting an Gyanecologist.

I knw ateast dozen of ladies who devised their own family planning and when they were ready for their first baby , they were unsucessful.

Reitreating what i said earlier.........Please consult ur doc on family planning. Dont create ur own devil.

Yes, my parents adviced me not to take BCPs to treat PCOS. It is mostly used for people who are not married or not planning to concieve. Even my doc advised me take Yasmin. But I objected and now am trying other ways to get treated. If you are skepticle about using them, mention the same to your doc, she may be able to help you.

    All the best
