Any information will be highly appreciated.

Hello Vidya,

I have never used one personally. But I have heard that it helps to keep sperm inside (rather than spilling out) after intercourse. But I guess you need to use it just after the intercourse.

I am sure there are other ways of acheiving the same like keeping a pillow at the back for sometime, etc etc.. Check out on those tips as well before deciding on this.

Regards,
Malar

I have read many success stories in the net and was really tempted. A pillow can only help in gravity doing the job...but here you place the sperms as close to the cervix as possible. I was curious to know if any of you have ever tried it.

This softcup is found in walmart - 3 for $6. Link on how to insert it. Softcup Fertility Aid by Instead

By placing the semen in the Softcup and then placing the cap on your cervix you
accomplish the following:
  • Slow swimming sperm won’t have to travel through the vagina but are placed directly at the opening of the cervix. This gives more sperm the opportunity to swim through the cervix and meet up with the egg.
  • Semen that contains a low sperm count now has the benefit of being placed right at the cervical Os (the opening in the cervix), giving all of the sperm a head start to find the egg.
none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial; border-collapse: collapse; width: 21px; height: 1px;" align="right" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="10">

  • The sperm are shielded from hostile environmental factors in the vagina, such as high or low pH or a yeast infection. Such hostile factors can, under ordinary circumstances, kill or significantly affect the motility of the sperm.
  • Allow a tilted cervix to connect with all available semen that is produced during ejaculation. Without the Conception Cap®, a tilted cervix might fail to come into contact with the semen pool.

Softcup Fertility Aid by Instead

Softcup 6 Pack: Instructions for Trying-to-Conceive Application

Following lovemaking, the Softcup is used as a reservoir to hold semen and sperm close to the cervix. The cervix is the channel that sperm must pass through to reach the uterus and fertilize the egg. Thus, the Softcup may work as a fertility aid by helping pool sperm around the cervix! This is the advantage i have heard that it has over the pillow method.

I have heard success stories among 2 or 3 of my caucasian friends..just wanted to confirm if anyone here has tried it. Its pretty inexpensive though. Sold in walmart for $5.

News...my friend conceived this way.

ovulation tracking thru ovulation kit
she got 3mm syringes without needle and neat plastic containers for semen collection
2 days before ovulation - on day of ovulation - 2 days later ..her husband ejaculated, lapped it up in syringe and shot it inside her and she raised her hips fr 30 ms. She conceived with this method.( she was on clomid too)

she always has this doubt that most of the semen is outside and spills over. So this method worked for her..dont know if it will work for others...but i may give it a shot.
