I got married 5 years and i am having one son with 3 1/2 years old, Now we are trying for second child for past 1 year.

1. I am having irregular periods for past 1 year
2. After taking tablets from doctor only i am getting my period every month.
3. My doctor made all test for me and my hubby and she said no problem with both
of us.
4. She made hormone test, blood test , scanning and then she prescribed me
CLOMID 50mg tablets , it has to be taken second day of my periods.

So i got my next period on 28 days cycle. Now i am not having any tablet, again i am not getting periods.
Is anybody having this type of problem , Taking clomid tablet is safe , Please help me . I am having lot of stress with this , I can't concentrate in any job, Always thinking about my periods. It is very painful for me.

Hi mjsaroj,

Looks like you have PCOS, which is common nowadays. You can search some of the topics in IL itself to know more about PCOS. Clomid is not harmful. It just induces your ovulation.

All the best!

Hi

My friend is a doctor..As she said to concieve it does not matter u have regular or iregular periods. U have to do on ur ovalation day. If u stay in USA , u can get Ovalation kits , get them n follow them.

I have given this advice to my friend too, it worked for her, so it will work for u too..

one more imp thing, for normal periods u will ovulate on 14th - 16th day but for irregular periods it might take 19th or even 21 day too .

All the best

If you have PCOS, ovulation kit might not give you right answers. There is a chance to get more confused using it as we tend to have hormonal imbalance.
