Pls help me to take a decision. I ve been on ttc 2 for a year. I was put on clomid 100 for the last 2 months and took on CD 2-6. Day 7 scan showed periovularory follicle around 23 mm but lining was thin around 5 mm. Took aspirin, progynova but lining not improving. This cycle ended with AF today. So I was just thinking of a clomiphene break this cycle so that it cant affect my lining. I hope the drug remaining inside can help in ovulation next cycle.any suggestions? Any one had a similar incidence of thin lining with clomiphene and early ovulation? Wud love to hear ur story.I googled a lot but no much similar history :(

    OP,

You can try femara (letrozole). It is also used for ovulation induction and does not negatively affect endometrium thickness like clomid. Not sure if its banned in India. Do not self medicate . Please consult your Ob/Gyn before you take it.All the best.

    Hi ,
Clomid is quite known for thinning the endometrium.Take a break or two from the same.Next time try pelvic exercises to increase the blood flow to uterus, certain inverted yoga poses are great for the same.I have tried using castor oil packs and they worked simply great.Try googling for the same.

I had the same issue with Clomid. Has your doctor prescribed L-Arginine granules and Viagra to try and improve the lining? Viagra in women boosts blood flow to the uterus and I used to take it each month.

Try and include high-antioxidant foods in your diet - especially pomegranate and beetroot. The cycle in which I finally conceived using clomid injections, I used to eat one big pomegranate everyday from 1st day of period. My lining thickness and quality both improved drastically. Also try and have 2 cups of green tea everyday.

It's also very important to do 45 mins of cardio workout everyday because it improves blood circulation. If possible, sleep on your left side instead of back and stomach.

All the above advice was given by my fertility doctor. Hope this helps you!

    Hi sweetygal,

I too had the same problem while trying with clomid. My gyn prescribed clomid for 3 months. The first two months were failure for me.. On the 2nd month onwards I changed a lot in my diet. I had a lot a fruit juices especially berries like Raspberry, Strawberry, Blueberry and blackberry juices. I also had pomegranate more than 2 times in a week. Weekends I used to eat baked fishes and spinach & tofu soup. All these helped me to thicken my uterus lining as well as increased the follicle size. My follicles used to be only 16mm even on 14th day past period. But after following this diet routine for a month or so, my follicle size increased to 24mm. Please try these and hope it will workout for you. My best wishes..

    Hi anameka

I believe the follicle size should be 18mm - 26mm and if endometrium is greater than 10mm is good.

    Hi Sricielo,

Thank you! My follicle size was 20mm when I used clomid and my endometrium will never be more than 8mm. Don't know why? What to do to improve the follicle size and endometrium thickeness?
