UTI and PCOS

Hi,

I am Seema, 28 yrs, married. 2 months back I got married but we couldn't do intercourse successfully. Last month I had frequent urination (in every 2 min.) so we contacted a doctor and it was detected to be UTI. We treated it and I took Martifur and Rabekind DSR. I got my periods late by 1 week. Before this I always had regular periods.

Now I don't have UTI problem but when I scanned my Abdminal pelvic area, it was showing the following report:
Right Ovary: 31 X 24 mm
Left Ovary: 31 X 25 mm
Both ovaries show small multiple peripheral follicles, 4-6 mm in size with central echogenic stroma. Impression: Features of Polycystic Ovaries.

Still I have pain in minor lower abdomen which is not continuous. My question is Can I conceive or not? How much curable it is. Before this I had regular periods.

Also I don't have extra hair growth or diabetes. Can anybody suggest me what can we do??
Will I be able to concived. I am very much depressed.
Should I go for some other tests or directly I can start taking metformin.
Also what can be cause of unsuccessful intercourse.

Hi SeemaSam,

Even i was treated for UTI recently....was given antibiotics and the urgency & pain in the lower abdomen subsided...but the problem can be recurrent...i also had the problem few years back...but you need not worry much as you will be fine after taking the required dosage of antibiotics.

Check with your doctor again if you feel that your symptoms of UTI persist and do not worry absolutely about conceiving...it will do no good to you....follow up with ur ob/gyn or a fertility specialist...importantly try to relax by having other avagations ...
