Spotting during ovulation

Hi everyone,

This is my first post in TTC forum. M 32 yrs old. We are TTC for 2 yrs now. Had a laparoscopy in Nov 2013. The reports came normal. Then I had an IUI in July this yr but it didn't work. I had stressful 2 months after that. So last month I didn't have enough courage to try again. Or say I gave a break to myself from the monthly stress. This month my period came on 7th dec. So right now m near the ovulation period. Yesterday night I had some pinkish spotting. And have a dull pain in my lower abdomen right now. What does that mean? When I searched on the web it said it is kind of a good sign of ovulation. Now my concern is have I ovulated already? Today is the 12th day from the first day of my period. Should we try today or we have lost our chance this month? Plz help.
