    Hi friends,

I just got back my thyroid profile report today.
My TSH,T3 and T4 levels are as follows,

    TSH-5.52 (Biological reference range-0.35-5.52)
    T3-0.94 (0.60-1.81)
    T4-8.80 (4.5-10.9)

3 years back my TSH level was 2.49.

I am 27 yrs old and planning to ttc next year. Please let me know if TSH level is high for ttc and whether I need to start any medication.Did any of you face a problem with this level of TSH during TTC.I do not have any symptoms of hypothyroid.I am planning to consult a gynaec soon.:(

Consult a gynaec. As regards symptoms, In my case i didnt have any but my TSH levels were detected to 6.89. After I started medication, though I put on lot of weight. So i suggest u visit a gynaec..she will be able to guide you better.

    All the best.

Your TSH level is too high. Many people show no symptoms.
My clinic will not begin cycles unless TSH is 2.5 or less. Ideally you will maintain it around 1-1.5 while TTC. Let your doctor know and start on medication ASAP. It will take some time for the levels to drop, and for them to determine the optimal dose.
My primary physician monitors my thyroid, vitamin D and blood sugar levels.
