Light bloody discharge from breasts

    Dear IL's,

    Since last 2 mths, getting light bloody discharge from one of the breasts. It is only when i exert pressure on it. I had always been experiencing white and creamy discharge from my breasts.. but this one has got color of blood. Also it is from one particular spot only.. I asked my doc..he said nothing to worry.. but i am still concerned. What you say??

    Dear OP
    The symptoms you described can usually be some benign disorder of the milk ducts
    A benign tumor in a milk duct (intraductal papilloma)
    Dilated milk ducts (mammary duct ectasia)

    Fibrocystic changes, including pain, cysts, and general lumpiness

    An abscess or infection
    You can go for a checkup to rule out any of these

    Thanks She2013..went to doc yesterday..he has suggested going for mammograph. Dont have any idea abt the test..is it a painful procedure??

    My mother went thru the procedure, she had a lump a benign one, mammography would be little painful my mom told. How is a mammogram done?

    just go thru this too. My mom got her breast operated and the lump was removed. So don't worry, will pray for you. Stay strong and put the rest to god. Go and get the tests done.

    It will be little painful.They will try to see for any changes in breast that are not normal.

    Is there a cause of worry?? Any precautions to be taken before going for the same?? Will it be detrimental to my already hopeless ttc journey??

    Nothing to worry, no harm, just get the mammography done. Nothing to harm your ttc i suppose. Only after seeing the reports we can know the cause for the discharge.
    Will pray for you, don't panic.. just go ahead. Hope you went thru the link and you are clear with the process i think so. Little painful when its done so bear it. :cool2:

    Really hope as you said there is nothing to worry. New new issues every month are just getting on my nerves. Hope it won't be a cause of concern. Went through the link as suggested by you..thanks a lot.

    Glad to tell everyone that nothing very vital was detected in mammography done yesterday. Doc did say there are very minute cysts which are very common and nothing to worry about. Thanks to god and all my IL friends who stood by me..
