Were you taking any herbs or alternative medicine during ttc? That may be reason for such heavy bleeding. Make sure you let the doctor know all what you were taking and also stop taking them. Many herbal teas and herbal home remedies interact with allopathic medicines and cause extra bleeding so before any surgery or cutting the doctors here advise to discontinue taking those from at least 3 weeks before.
