Hi all,
I'm a new member to this forum. I've been TTC for the past 3 months.
I am diagnosed with pcos and my gynec prescribed glyciphage 1000 mg. I also take folic acid tablets.
Friends I just need to know if taking Glychiphage decreases the chances of conceiving. Im not comfortable to ask my gynec this question.
Also im in the 2ww. fingers crossed.

Pls help Friends.

Hello friend
My first sincere advice to you is never hesitate to ask questions to your gynaecologist. Its your body you must know what and why you take it. Just if doctors prescribe don't take. Know why its given to you.
The tablet which your doctor gave is also diabetic control tablet. I think you might have elevated blood sugar level . Its not related to conception I think so. Folic acid tablets are given for people trying to conceive.

glyciphage is Merformin base tablet and is give to those who have insulin tolerance / higher BMI or PCOS. Are you with any of these? Whats your BMI? If its on higher side, try to control your weight. Eat healthy & stay healthy!
If you have concerns and doubts, ask your gynec. Don't hesitate. That will help you to clear your confusions!

Thanks for ur reply. Yes I went to the gynec and clarified my doubts.
She said metformin does not harm chances of pregnancy. So its safe
I have others concerns now...
Af missed. 2 days now. Hpt says negative. I've been getting regular periods since i started
Taking glyciphage . Is it too early to take a hpt . How true can this negative result be??
Having cramps just like how it used to be wen I expect periods.
Pls tell me if u have had such experience.

Wait for few days to know what has happened. If periods didn't come in next 2-3 days, check with HPT with the early morning urine sample. Then have a word with your gynec. That should help.

2 days late is too early to check dear . Wait for few more days and test with your morning sample . Don't stress yourself . Just remember it will happen only when it as to happen . Don't push yourself . Prayers for you to succeed in this cycle itself .
