    Hi Ladies..
Its very heartbreaking time for me from last couple of days. Tragedy striked me when I went for ultrasound for second trimester (19 weeks now). Found that the baby has multiple issues concerning growth of spine, head, arms, umbilical cord with only 2 vessels and esophagus :-(
Went for level 2 ultrasound with fetal medicine specialist and they confirmed the same and said that this could be a genetic abnormality possibly VACTERL association or VATER syndrome.
they told us possible options and gave us the choice of either to continue or terminate which made me went into total blank mind after which I cudnt remember anything.. Considering the possible preterm labor with a risk of amniotic fluid accumulating and causing problems for me and the pain the baby has to go through multiple correcting surgeries and even then with the hopes of survival slim.. my husband and our family all decided to terminate the pregnancy
I am not able to think straight and totally devastated..

Does anyone had similar problems and overcome later either with the healthy baby inspite of multiple problems or
have successful later pregnancies with full term healthy baby?

Please let me know, since slightest ray of hope will give me atleast a little strength to cope up with this unending tears situation :(

Hello friend, hope your both the thread deal with the same issue. Coming to your baby's problem, I knew few things of these anamolies, your case is also one such. Multiple complications will never give a healthy baby. Frankly termination is the best as fetal sampling also suggested the same. So don't get depressed, just realize a fact had you found these issues little later termination would risk your life. Also with so much complications the survival is less also correcting multiple problems is not a easy task. So pray god for making you aware now, ask for stability and strength. My sincere advice is to go ahead with termination. I have seen these types of cases so pray for a good health of yours. You should never lose heart, surely you will be blessed with a healthy kid. Please ensure all necessary tests next time and visit the doctor soon please don't delay. As if weeks crosses it would carry many more risks to your health.

Just don't let your self down, put in god. Accept the reality, Will pray god for you. Worry not.
