Have you done Ovary Drilling ???

HI

I did Hysterlaproscopy and Ovary drilling in Nov 2013.

5 cycles went by and all cycles got wasted.

1. After hysterlaprocopy and ovary drilling she put me on 20days pill.

2. Did HSG and HRT treatment..

3. Had cyst so discontinued.

4. Discontinued as it was responding very slow.

5. Discontinued as she suspected thyroid(thyroid test on Monday) (Current cycle)

My question is Ovary drilling is supposed to make us fertile for first few months
and many cases induce ovulation without help. But for me all cycles are going bad
cycles and are getting wasted...

After your ovary drilling how were your cycles/treatment ????

Did anybody experience this bad cycles and had to discontinue cycle ?????

I know everybodys body is different, but wanted to know experiences
after ovary drilling... Ladies please clarify...

Hi Suma....Ovarian drilling can go either ways....a friend of mine went thro the ovarian drilling for nearly 5 cycles, her AF cycles went crazy...45 - 60 days. Only the recent 2 cycles have got aligned to normal cycles of 29 days and she is ovulating perfectly now. Usually the body takes some time to heal.

Yes for some people one round off drilling is all thats necessary to do the trick too!

I know its super stressful...but hang in there. Alternatively, you could take a second opinion to see if anythings are in order.

I haven't gone through ovarian drilling, I just had diagnostic laproscopy which will check only the condition of uterus, fallopian tubes & ovaries. I don't know much about it. There are some old threads on Ovarian drilling. If you wanted some more info on it, try to search in this forum.

Ovarian drilling is supposed to make the things normal. Should make the ovaries back to normal condition & irregular periods because of cysts/pcos should get controlled.
May be this procedure needs little settling time. Check with your doc on this. What was your doc's comment on this? That should help you!
