Home pregnancy test positive ... but worried

    Dear IL's ,
    I took a home pregnancy test this morning and it came positive.
    I read on some forums that it can be wrong .... I am so worried

    Please advise ... should I try another test tomorrow ?
    Please pray for me

    Dear priyajty2011, it is always better to meet your doctor at the earliest. The doc will be the best person to advice you. Please let us know the results. Let us be positive. Don't panic and take it easy. Lots of sticky babby dust to you.

    Priya,

    HPTs many a times give false negative results but very seldomly a false positive. If the test showed a positive result then surely u r pregnant dear. COngrats on your pregnancy :) Have a healthy nine months.
    Get an apt with a gynac so that he/she can start u with pre natal vitamins.

    Congrats on your pregnancy. :)
    When did you test? With morning urine? And how many days later to missing of periods?
    After missing your periods, HPT positive will be correct, only rarely false will be there! Check with another HPT few days later or check with the gynec to confirm your pregnancy!

    Thanks so much :)

    I had an appointment with the doc today, had an ultrasound done. According to my LMP I am 6 weeks and 3 days.
    We couldnot see the baby or the heartbeat.We saw a yolk sac.
    Doc told me not to worry, she said it might have been too early and I have a next ultrasound scheduled for next friday.

    Is it normal not to see a baby during ultrasound ? Does seeing a yolk sac mean there is a baby ? I am worried though :(

    Dear Priya,

    Yes Yolk Sac means there is a baby. Be positive. Its too early to hear a heart beat now, check after 2-3 weeks you will hear the heart beat too. Have a healthy and balanced diet :)

    First congratulations..mostly it will be correct only, 5% only it may be false, so consult a good doctor and get ur diubts cleared...

    hey,congrats dear! i'm sure that you are pregnent because i too underwent a hometest for my second baby and it resulted as positive.then we consulted our gynaecologist and finally she confirmed.
    at first,we too couldn't make out the fetus in the scan but the sac was seen clearly.just same as in your case.
    so don't get scared.be happy.we indus friends are always there with you:).

    Congrats you are pregnant stop worrying.wait for another week and do the test.mostly positive result wont be a false result even if you test early.
