Eat two bananas three to four days before your period date daily. As the puja is in sept try to postpone in this month itself. If it does not works then next month you can try some other remedies.

Good idea. I should have postponed it this month only. So that as per cycle, it would not fall that time....But it slipped out of my mind. Now I will have to take medicines, no other choice.bonk

Was just getting worried. Does it have any side effects? I mean,is it safe to delay the periods?

I know I am a bit worried but now I will cool myself.

I tried for Primolut-N which contains Norethisterone and I could not find it over the counter but the pharmacist suggested me Norcolut which is the same composition with different brand.

I hope this helps me.

sorry for not posting in the last post. I forgot to ask one thing..
As suggested in past posts that I need to take 1 tab daily till I want to delay.

I checked in the Primolut-N leaflet where it mentions about recommended dosages,it says;
You should use this method only if you are not at risk of pregnancy during the treatment cycle.
1 tablet PRIMOLUT N 2 to 3 times daily for not longer than 10 to 14 days, beginning about 3 days before expected menstruation. A normal period should occur 2 to 3 days after medication has stopped.

Hi i take tablets before marriage from a doctor to delay perios for important functions only.now i asked my home to send those tablets for me to usa for delaying periods for important occasion.but once again they consulted with the doctor, she strictly told she wont give any tablets for me now and explained after marriage we shouldnt take such tablets as the truth is it will cause side effects.so try to avoid talking these tablets and explain it to ur in law and ask her to help you till the date is over.

Hi,
just yesterday my friend told me a safe home remedy to postpone periods... if you eat one handful of spilt dhalia (roasted pottukadalai..the one we use to make coconut chutney) first thing in the morning a week before your expected period dates, you can postpone it... She just successfully tried it...Hope this helps...

Hello Ladies,

With all the suggestions, fianlly I got Norcolut in HK which is same as we get Primolut-N in India. I felt a bit uneasy when I was taking these medicines but nothing serious and bad.Once I stopped taking medicines,it took a day to come.

Just wanted to share, that Primolut-N is a good option if we really need to postpone.
