Ask Questions To IndusLady about IL FORUMS

I don't think I am in the right spot but I have a question.
I could not start a new thread in FAQ sub-forum so I'm writing it here.
Everytime I want to post something here I first log in, but many a times when I write everything up for like half hour and then try to submit it, it dosen't let me. All I can see is that "You don't have sufficient privileges". How amny times do we need to log in to post a new thread? This has happened to me quite a number of times. Please Help

When you login, please check the box "Remember me" next to it and this problem shouldn't happen.

If you want the details, here it is. If you don't check the "Remember Me" box, the system will automatically logs you out after few minutes of inactivity. If you are typing a message for say 10 minutes, the server thinks that you are inactive because you haven't interacted with the server. Sometime during this 10 minutes, the server has logged you off. When you type submit, the system is asking you to login again because only logged in users can submit the message. By checking the "Remember Me" box you are telling the server to keep you logged in regardless your level of activity.

Checking the "Remember Me" box also ensures that you don't have to login next time you visit indusladies.com (if you didn't logout when you exited the site).

I have a query regarding posting of external links in the messages.

Am I allowed to post informative external links: like the news articles etc in any relevant threads or is there any restriction that I have to post in "Forwarded messages and Jokes " only. I got confused because some threads do have links for the external websites and in some they say that it is not allowed.

1. First of all there is restriction to an extent in posting external links in the forum messages - this is mainly to keep away spammers who join only to promote those external sites. So new members with less posts to their credit have been restricted in posting external links.
Refer this FAQ for more details.

2. Regarding external links for informational purposes, like news articles etc. wherever possible kindly post the article itself, with due credt to the source. You may give external links to the site, provided it is purely informational and not a self-promotion. Refer Forum Etiquette about self-promotion.

3. You can also add an external website in IL Directory in a suitable category with reviews are ratings based on your personal experience, if you think the overall content as a whole would be useful for members here.

Hello Gingju,

You can reply to posts and open new message threads. You will not be able to access only the attachments (images attached) to a post till you hit 50 posts. Please read the above member status and privileges post once again.

Regarding blogs, you can access by clicking on blogs menu in the purple bar or the green tab on top of all pages. You can read and also comment on the blogs.

To write your own blogs you need a separate acces that can be requested writing to induslady@indusladies.com .

I have completed about 50 + posts and am still not able to view the attachments and PM.

Kindly post your questions here after checking the FAQ index, only if they are already not addressed in the FAQs we already have.

PS: We merged the last few posts of yours since they were just one liners carrying some external links. Do not make multiple one liner posts. Try to combine information on the same subject into a single post. Thanks.
