Digg post, furl post, etc. are for bookmarking the web pages you want on the internet for easy reference in future. Even when the original website is down, you can still use these bookmarks to access them.

Each of these work differently. Kindly refer to the tutorial or help provided in the respective sites to do the same.

How are you? I too want to ask you something. Our IL is becoming bigger and bigger day by day. I am so happy that I am also one of its member. Thanks for you to give me this. Here I want to ask you is , Why dont you make one search engine for this site? Because if we want to search for a particular dish, it takes a lot of time to get it. Of course we can browce and get that. But I saw one mail like this from Varloo.

As a Moderator she is serching like this means... what about us? or new people who are entering in this site? So why dont you think of putting one search engine in this site?

Another thing, there are nobody in Saudi from IL, (except me and my husband)so I want to put myself in Dubai Ladies list. Is it ok?

Frequently the site becomes inaccessible, i keep getting the "Problem Loading Page" or " Not Responding " messages, when all other sites and pages get loaded without hitch.

I am happy to be part in this site.

I just want to inform u one thing.
Some times especially in the afternoons(2.00pmEST) this IL page is not loading.
After some 15 mins its loading.
May be the server problem
or
Lot of people accessing IL site in that Peak hours.

I am observing this from last 4 to 5 days.dialy same time.
First I thought it was my Laptop or internet error.& later i noticed that all other sites getting loading except IL.
So i just wanted to inform u.
This is not a complaint.

&No problem .I can wait for 15 mins.
Lot of people has to come to IL & have to share their thoughts,problems.

this is just only info, i am letting u know.

First of all thanks for bringing such issues to our notice.

We have found that the site might be loading slowly or might be in-accessible for a few minutes due to various technical reasons like network failure at the hosting centre of the site, server/site being too busy with too many users accessing at the same time, internet connectivity issues at the client (i.e. members end) or at the server end, etc.

In the recent past, the site was found inaccessible due to network failure at the hosting centre where the server hosting this site resides. We have been following up with the technical team there to get it resolved.

Though these issues cannot be completely elimintated, whenever any such issues with the site accessibility are noticed, we strive to reduce the downtime of the site to the minimum possible.

I am glad that you are one of the valuable member of our site making this place more useful with your wonderful contributions.

Regarding your query about search engine, we already have search facility available in the site.

In the menu (in girlie violet color), there is 'search' menu to search all the forums for threads or posts for a given keyword.

Similarly, you can search a particular forum using 'search this forum' menu.

Also, go into the thread and you can use 'search this thread' menu for given keywords. It will fetch you the posts within that thread that has the keyword.

Getting the right results while you search is slightly tricky, depending on what, where and how you are searching. It also depends on how each of us spell a particular dish/recipe - some may say 'daal', 'dhal' or 'dal', etc.

We also have members like Chitvish, Eljaype and Safa indexing contents within their selective forums that has categorized content, so that members can browse through the index to find what they want instead of browsing through threads and posts.

Varloo could have easily located 'capsicum salad' if posted by Chitvish, by going through the index for 'tantalising pachadis and salads' in Ask Chitvish section. But I guess she was checking with Chitvish whether she has plans to post that salad, based on the mention of it somewhere.

There is one more way of search I do. That is Go to Help Menu and click on Archives. You can access all the things in this site which I find it very easy.
