How do I add an "Avatar"?

I guess everybody would be interested in including a small picture (Avatar) next to their postings. An avatar would give a touch of individuality to your postings. Here is how you do it..

• Click on the UserCp menu (2nd menu in the above purple bar, next to Home)
• In the UserCP page on the left you will notice "Edit Avatar" option
• Here you have 2 options:
  • Standard avatar - You can choose a picture from our gallery
  • Custom avatar - Select a picture (image file - .jpg or .gif) you already have in your computer
  • Note: Custom avatar option is available only if you are a junior member (with 50+ posts). Refer this.
• If the picture is of the acceptable size as mentioned in the panel, the image will be displayed right there.
• Click on submit and then all your postings will include the picture you chose

sorry, but i tried to follow your instructions to add the avatar, but i was not even able to get profile buttom and even when i went to edit avatar, not all the pages of the images were displaying. kindly help. thanx

Dear laxmi/Induslady,

Even I am getting the error message "Unable to save image".
I am just trying to save a gif of dimension 53*87 and size 7.5 Kb

I see both of you already having avatars from the gallery of images the site has. I presume you are looking at uploading your own custom avatar.

Refer this link Laxmi had given in the above post.
1. Go to the bottom of the page and choose 'Use Custom Avatar'
2. Go to option 2 and browse and choose the image you want to add from your comptuer.
See the 'Note' given below regarding dimensions.

Rogo, the image should 80 x 80 in dimensions. Yous is 53 x 87, you are exceeding there. If your image fits the dimension or pixel size range, you will see it there added.

Although I follow all the correct instructions and try to upload my avatar which is well within the stipulated size, I still get the message 'Unable to save image'. Please look into it.

One of you can send your custom avatar picture to induslady@indusladies.com . We can try uploading it for you and check what's going on there.

I tried uploading a custom avatar for TDU (the picture he sent to me). It has been uploaded.

There were some permission issues which was preventing the upload. It has been fixed now.

Try uploading your custom avatars (within size 80x80 pixes / 19.5 KB). It should work now.

In yr mail u hv mentined that "To add Avatar" Click on the profile button. But where is the profile button, pl help me out.
