| I started by clicking "New thread" button, then added the picture of the magazine cover then hyperlinked the download links. when i click "Post thread" button iam getting the message as i stated earlier. First i posted the thread in "Indian book readers" forum then tried in hobbies forum too but i got the same error message. Thanks for the immediate response. | Hi Dodge, Thanks for the information. Couple of follow-up questions.. 1. When you say "added the picture", how did you do that? Did you just copy and paste a picture from a website into the new thread? Or did you use the attachment feature? 2. When you say "hyperlinked the download links" does it mean when you copy/pasted text from the webpage, the download link wasn't hyperlinked and you went and added a hyperlink? How did you add a hyperlink? Thanks Dodge for working through this issue with us. P.S - Lets definitely troubleshoot this issue. But, why start with such advanced stuff so early on. Why not start simple and respond to existing discussions and/or start simple threads to begin with. Once you get comfortable with it, you can grow to more advanced participation? By the way, hope you read this new member orientation. |

| hi jey, Once again, thanks for responding to me. I tried posting just the links and a little of info about the books i wish 2 share. still i get the same message. "Invalid thread Specified" |

| Hi Dodge, Ah Ha! Found out what the issue is. New members (i.e. members with less than 50 posts) do not have the ability to make posts and/or start threads with links in them. This is to avoid spamming of our site. When a new member submits a post with link, she gets an error message as indicated below. Invalid Thread Specified.JPG Once the new member becomes Junior Member (50+ posts) she will automatically get the privilege to provide links in her post. For a full detail on member status privileges, please visit the Member Statuses Announcement. Last edited by Induslady : 2nd April 2008 at 02:40 PM. |

| Dodge, 50 posts is not at all too far, if you start interacting and participating in the community in various discussions taking place that interests you. By remaining in consistent touch with the community, posting your feedbacks, comments, sharing your experiences here, it is easy to hit the 50 posts milestone. Look forward to your active participation.
