Why I am not able send/receive private messages?

Hello,

We have recently made changes to the access privileges in various member statuses. This is mainly towards increasing the safety and quality of our community.

If you are a recently joined member with your post count being less than 50, then you do not have access to private message. We did this because we want to curb the habit of male members joining the community just to solicit members for friendship through private messages. This bar of 50 posts will ensure that we completely cut down on that nuisance.

You will get incremental privileges as you hit milestones like 50+ posts, 250+ posts, 500+ posts and so on.

Dear Induslady ma'm....,

As a new member, I too got confused, when I tried to open attachments of my interests, and got failed... by getting a warning- that I'm not allowed to open any... very sad, ma'm....
okay,... when u say it's for safety purpose only... then..it's okay,...
but 'enthu' members like me will get disappointed...
ok after all 50+ posts,...!!! when all of the topics are interesting and,... all the members are very friendly... it's definitely possible...

I've reached 50 posts . Still I was not able to send private message to a new member in IL. I would like to know if the person whom I'm sending a private message should've also reached 50 posts . Pls clarify .
I want to send a private message to 1 or 2 new members . How do I do it ? I would like to contact them . pls help me .

Hello Mallika

yes, the person whom you are sending Private Message should also have reached the 50+ posts status. After which only they would be able to read the private message that you have sent.

You ladies are doing a wonderful job . I would appreciate if we would be able to send private message like before even if they're new . I can understand about photos . Ultimately the motive is to good friends thru' IL , isn't it ? I would like to request you'll to consider this and make it like before . Let's see what the others are saying .

Thank u.Ijoined in feb 2008 in this community.But because of my daughter's marriage & the completion work of thesis submission i didnt opned the net at all.Now i think I may be able to utilise my free time.

Hi Laxmi.....im unable to send private messages...i cant even see such a link below my user id.....the person to whom i want to send a pm has more than 50 posts but when i click on their user id i cannot see any link showing send pivate message....what to do
