IL Tip of the day!

Dear IL'ites,

I know that a lot of you are becoming stalwarts in IL and have learnt several short-cuts and tips about navigating IL. I wanted to start this thread so the old-timers can share a tip or two when they get a chance. Let's also see who can share the coolest tip!

Let me kick off this thread with something that I learnt just yesterday :)

If a thread runs to multiple pages (lets say 114 pages) and you want to go to a page somewhere in the middle, you can do so by clicking on the down arrow to the far right of where it says "page 114 of 114". That should open up a "Go To Page" box. Put the page number you want to go to and click "Go"!

I usually note down the page no. and click on to it after clicking the 'blue arrow' on the left corner of the screen.
This information is very useful for novice like me.

that is what i usually do jey, when the pages dont move beyond 4 or 5 and leave us blank not able to read today's post beyond so go to the last page but sometime the problem persist there too, now dont get angry i know this is a tips column and not complaints, but could not help myself from telling u this..sunkan

If you click the archive which is seen at the bottom of the forum page you can navigate through the older posts very easily. I always find it much helpful to the older posts.
