hi...
Here's my recipe....actually..recipes...
There is no "quick-fix" to get skin to glow. But heres my mantra....
1)Have a "no brooding-no worry will affect my inner peace" attitude and stick to it.Skin is the first place where any internal imbalance reflects.
2) Smile often-look into a mirror and say "I like you..a lot" with a genuine smile.....you'll feel yourself relax instantly!! When you like yourself..respect yourself....it relects on your skin too.
3) Wake up and reach for water.Juices help momentarily-whether carrot or otherwise.Do not drink less than 10 glasses of water a day-whatever your skin type.Set alarms if you have to...the more you drink water...the better since it detoxifies all the underlying impurities.
4)Hmmm...it gets more complicated now:)).......your first drink of the day?make it hot water with half a lemon and half a tsp of honey(yes..we all know this but dont do it regularly)
5)Eating a banana? if you have dry skin...then just mash an inch of a banana and apply on your face.....avoid areas around the eyes....and five(please dont leave it for more than 5) minutes later....wash it off...and apply a very light moistureiser.
6) And heres the magical one: whenever you wash your face....first take a spoonful of yoghurt....spread it over your face...avoid the eyes....massage the face upwards and leave for just about 30 secs...and wash off....if the smell of dahi is not your cup of tea...keep a bottle of the essential oil of rose and mix just a drop to a handful of water and use as a last rinse.

7)Psssst ...this needs persistence and patience....

Adore your self
Warm regards,
meeta

Hi Tulip,

What Meeta suggested is simply great. Nothing like it if we can really follow it duly.

I am a crazy fan of juices and I can drink pretty much juice extracted from any combination of fruits and vegetables. One of my favorites is carrot juice and I must say I did benefit from it. I am a regular follower of it now. Needless to say I got compliments from friends - IN THE TV ADs STYLE :)

Ok, here it goes!!

Grate 2 carrots, Take it in a blender with 1/2 - 1 cup of water (depends on the consistency you desire), add 1 spoon honey, 2 spoons of lemon juice, 1 pinch of pepper, a small ginger piece and blend it!! That;s all.

Importantly, you need to consume this within 15 minutes of it's prep. Else, the enzymes are lost.

Good luck with the prep.

Kavs.

Hi

Yes definitely carrot juice if taken daily gives a glowing skin. Applying papaya on the face also makes the skin very soft. Using gulabari (rose water) to wash our face also helps in the long run.

I have a few doubts.
Do u grind them with Indian or american blender.
I tried wih indian blender using baby carrots. But the thing is what will u do with the pulp.do u filter it/throw it/squeeze it.
Also can anyone suggest good american blenders that can be used for making juices with fruits like oranges,...

Tulip
hi,
Carrot juice is great, i have a recipie for this:
*Grate carrot, steam cook the carrots(it removes the raw smell)
*Once cool, put them in a blender and blend it with little amout of honey and skim milk.(the original recipie calls for whole milk and sugar)
*Add cardamom powder and drink it with few ice cubes.
* I have this everyday and believe me its very very refreshing after a long work day.
Enjoy
