Default sandalwood- skin care

Pimples
Mix 1 teaspoon of sandalwood powder and turmeric each, adding enough water to make a thick paste. Apply overnight to watch those pimples vanish! What’s better, you can rest assured no scars will be left behind either! If you suffer from a severe case, add a piece of crushed camphor to the paste. Camphor has a cooling effect on your skin.

Acne
Take two teaspoons of sandalwood powder and mix it with enough rosewater to make a thick paste. Apply on your face for half hour everyday, to make the most stubborn acne disappear! This paste is also good enough to apply over acne on the back or chest.

Massage
A massage with sandalwood oil can invigorate and rejuvenate you. It is extremely cooling and soothes the skin. If you cannot get sandalwood oil, add sandalwood powder to your massage oil and let it steep overnight before using. It is particularly recommended during hot, summer months and is effective in combating heat boils and rashes. It also leaves your body feeling delicately perfumed.

Moisturizer

Sandalwood powder makes a great perfumed moisturizer for your skin. Mix 2 teaspoons of sandalwood powder with milk, and apply to exposed areas of your skin before a bath. Regular use will leave your skin feeling smooth and dewy, with a delicate fragrance. What’s better, it’s far cheaper than those branded moisturizers, and far more effective too!

Smooth complexion
If your skin is patchy and your complexion is uneven, then try this! Mix together 5 tablespoons of coconut oil, add 3 teaspoons of almond oil and stir in 5 teaspoons of sandalwood powder. Apply for 20 minutes, rinse with tepid water, to remove sun tan or to give your skin that smooth feel.

Hi Lakshmi,
Your tips are really good. My face complexion is uneven it looks like patchy as if some big little fair spots are there. I consulted doctors but no use. now I am afraid to use any medicines as it may give some side effects. Please suggest me some home remedies which i can do at home by myself.

Do you have some tips for facial and massage to make face glow ?

Thanks,
Ambika.

Dear Ambika,

I will tell a pack for you. Grind Badam, tomato, banana, oats into fine paste. add honey, sandalwood power and kusturi turmaric power and mix well and apply it in your face. once in a week make this and keep it in the fridge. apply daily. you can notice the change in your face.

just one thing - some people have sensitive skin & can get pigmentation easily - they may be allergic to sandalwood
