need info reg laser hair removal

hi all,
how effective r those laser hair removing treatment. and how many sittings does it need. heard that it depends on and the place where the hair has to be removed. also wanted to know how much does it cost in india and in US.

dear sree, i knew a medico cosmetologist Dr Ra mesh Kumar of Erode trust hospitals.Several of my patients including my niece is undergoing treatment there.Without knowing the density of hair follicle even the dr himself cant tell how many sittings may be needed. The lazer treatment is cheaper in India according to the data i collected. Here one pulse rate is 500 rs.
Anyway more that one sittings may be needed to most.

thanx for your post. am actually thinking of doing the laser for my upper lip. can u ask your niece if she has any idea. also can u let me know the number of sitting depends on the place where the hair has to be removed or just the hair alone matters. can u also check and let me know if it is permanent or for how many yrs it stays good. thanx in advance

i consulted a dermatologist for the laser hair removal. for the upper lip the price is
100$ per sitting it may take any where between 6 to 8 sittings. also he added new hairs may start coming (not from the same root) after 4 or 6 months.

is it really worth for the money?? as it looks as if it is a temporary cure i decided not to go for it.
