Anything which is artificial is bad for your hair. But then, you gotto use something to make your hair silky and staight, if it is not already.

I use it very sparingly, like once a week. Wash your hair with a good shampoo and conditioner. Use a good mousse or hair straightening gel. Before straightening it, use a heat resistant spray all over your hair. It reduces the heat damage which your hair might undergo.

Once a week, massage your hair with hot coconut oil.

As per my understanding hair straighteners use severe heat to make the hair texture change...like curls or straightening...so instead of the natural shape and look if we change it forcibly (that too several times it would surely effect the hair..)might be you can try once in 3 months or so but ensure that you have a good hair regime..where get your hair massage with good oils and good hair henna packs etc...so that it would minimise the damage...

Get a straightener with Ceramic plates, the metal ones do too much damage!

dear,At first u may it nice, but the starightner lotion enters to the inner layer of the hair strand & breaks the sulphor bonds of the hair.Only after this process any neutraliser can be used to starighten or perming the hair.Even though u get a good finishing look for a while, being the inner layers broken gradually hair starts splitting up. So bettr not to go for the chemical treatments.

hair straightners or perming ones actually go straight to the inner layer of the strand & it has to breake it,then only the neutarliser can act on it. the result for the first few days may be good. But gradually the split ends starts comming up whatever smoothener u use.So better not to opt for the chemical treatments.
