| Hi Mythili, Welcome to IL. Regarding your post,,well I personally feel that it is not true. But it is better to avoid using scented coconot oils that we normally use for hair ,on our face as the perfumes used might cause infections and blemishes for some. However since you have mentioned that you have a dry skin, it is a very good idea to apply coconut oil/olive oil on to the face and massage gently, leave it for around 1/2 an hour and then go for bath. Besides you can also try using vitamin E oils as well. For reducing the hair growth, you can mix turmeric with besan and curd and apply on ur face probably once a week and this will mar the hair growth as well make the skin color lighter.
