Hi I regularly use Kajal in my eyes and when i go out, i use eyeliner on the top of lids and kajal on the lower lids... just buy a good Kajal, a Maybelline one or a Covergirl, the one which has thin stick and a roller one when the kajal stick is used you can roll up more... Kajal basically is an oil based product so its obvious that it will smudge a lot, but the modern ones from these new companies do not smudge and you just have to renew them in 4-5 hours... always apply kajal on the inside of the lower lid that is behind the lower lashes, that way it doesnt smudge a lot if you apply outside the lashes it will melt more... you can use the same Kajal stick on the upper lids too, just tighten the upper lid with holding with one finger and just sweep thru it and raw a line... But be careful afterwards...dont rub and keep you hands away from your eyes... ~Abha

Try drawing fine lines with the eyeliner on some paper or paper towel, so u get the hand of it. when at home keep practising everyday over ur upper eyelids. Half close your eyes, try to lean towards the mirror for a closer look, with the eye liner brush (remove excess liner liquid) so that u get thin lines, then start drawing a line more closer towards the eye lashes on the lids, start from the inner part( near the nose towards the end) . just as u would paint thin lines on a paper. As you keep practicing you would get more neat and fine lines, some ppl like it thick, so then you can try making it more thick, but the secret is practice many times when at home. make sure u clean it well later. and also keep changing ur eyeliners every few months, My friend had a bad infection due to old eye liners.

You can choose liquid or pencil eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner means applied with a small bruch and can be tricky. Eyeliner pencil means forgiving and more options. With a pencil you can blend it for a different look. And also line the eye start one the lower lid smudge the line with your sponge.
