Friends;
It would be great help for me if you would give me tips of how to have a great party without wearing myselves out.
Sometimes after doing all the cooking I get so tired that all I want is to sleep. One such situation happened two days back, and it made be thinking maybe there is something wrong with the way I am doing things. It was a small dinner get-together, and I made just 6 dishes. But I took 4 hours to do it (from the time of entering the kitchen to cleaning it), I think 4 hours is a long time for just six dishes. After dinner, around 10.15 , my 14 month started getting sleepy. So I took her to put her to sleep. With her I too slept. Can you imagine an hostess sleeping through party. WEll; here I am!!!! They were at my place till midnight and I slept like a baby with my baby. How shameful.
Do you prepare some food the day before and keep it in fridge? Will it be fresh? I see here in IL a lot of wonderful people making an array of dishes for parties/get-togethers. So I know this is the right place to get tips.
Please help me out.
You can also make 5" pancakes and roll them up as soon as you cook them. After all are cooked you can fill them with some filling of choice. Makes 6.
