Hi everyone,
Today we received our passports with Canadian Immigrant Visa stamped :-). we sent it 10 days ago and received it today. So, by March we have to land in Canada as the visa expiry date has mentioned it.
I have mentioned in one thread that we are planning to visit Alberta in Feb or March for our landing formalities and then will decide where to stay....I mean in Calgary or Edmonton.

Grace, thanks for your help. If I will decide to stay in Edmonton then at least one person will there for me to help me and it's you.
When anyone moves, we first think about the safe place to stay. You mentioned so many apartment communities with details which will help me and others too. :thankyou2:
Now,it's time to celebrate.:cheers

I must say that I never thought I would get used to sub-urban living (having gorwn up in downtown primaily). We now have 'our own' space - a bit bigger than what I'm used to..lol.
This area is in particular reputed for the montessori school- ranks #1 in all of Canada, from what I'm told.
Though its a drive to do groceries or other entertainment/recreation, my home now gives me the peace I've been seeking. :thumbsup:banana

Hi,

My name is Samna and I live in Etobicoke with my husband and a beautiful 5 year old daughter. I work as an Accountant here and am basically from Chennai living in Toronto from the past 7 years. Since its almost winter now and our kids and we ourselves would not have much places to visit during weekends other than the "MALL'S". Why dont we all meet for rotating potluck atleast once or twice a month at each one of our houses. In that way we can get to know each other and our kids will have fun in an indian community circle.

let me know if anyone is already doing this so that others can join as well and if no one isdoing it then the interested ladies can join and we all can have a gala time.

Take care and hoping to receive good replies.
