Be it traditional fields like banking, finance or teaching or newer pastures like IT, hospitality industry, media or army women are making their presence felt in more than one way. They are proving their capability and steadily mounting the career ladder. But unfortunately they still have to confront their male counterparts.

There are men who have ego problem in sharing workspace with women. A popular belief goes around that for women job is just a time pass. Thus apart from proving their mettle the women have to fight against these perspectives also. With determination and positive mindset a woman can resolve these gender issues.

Indira Gandhi: The Only Man or Goddess Durga of Post- Shastri Political Leadership?

I often get confused when the newspapers flood news such as her being the only man in her cabinet. If we believe that she was the only man in her cabinet then it can be extended till date. Secretly or openly, we all miss her because she was more masculine than many prime ministers we had since she passed away.

She was the iron lady with no melting point. Today, on the 25th anniversary of her death the wound of not having her around begins to ooze.

During the time of emergency it was believed that she would be the worst PM ever. How easily it was proved to be otherwise, I don't know if she was the only man or should we call her earthly Goddess Durga.

Woman is the symbol of Shakti. Often women are more courageous, more brave than men due to their dedication to purpose. They may be physically weak but have brave hearts.

So, would you consider India's Indira to be the only man post-shastri political leadership or her as the earthly version of Goddess Durga?

The simple, yet a loaded question. Are you giving back to the society?

We lead a self-centered life, atleast many of the humans round the world - My life, My family, My, My...

I am not saying it's wrong. Ofcourse one should follow their heart and achieve whatever they want in their lives. But in that process, have you thought to give back something to the society? Have you thought to make a social economic change for those unfortunate?

No, not your future vision. In the present?
No, not your retirement plan. In the present?
No, not visiting an orphanage once a year on your birthday or anniversary.
