We hope that this furniture buying guide will help you make smart decisions when shopping for furniture. Our sincere hope is that you will do your homework and be satisfied with your purchases. Shopping online is probably the best way to shop for furniture, so have fun!

Furniture, Identify your personal style

Is it casual furniture, contemporary, country, traditional or eclectic? If you're unsure, look at the items around you to see how they reflect your personality--your wardrobe, your car, your magazines, favorite movies, etc.
Examine your furniture design preferences

Make a list of your favorite colors, textures and patterns. Do you prefer bold colors or pastels? Solids, stripes or plaids? Soft, light fabric covers or rich tapestries? Lighter fruit woods or darker hardwoods?

Keep sharing and reading

Thanks

My friend is having her house warming ....Gruhapravesam next month. She wants to give return gifts to the guests. There will be around 30 families.
There are lot of relatives so she cannot go in for expensive ones. If she spends at least Rs.200 per family then what kind of gift do you think she can get. Sarees ruled out because with that price you dont get good quality ones.
It can be one common gift for the entire family not individually for each member.
I am not really up to date with the price and availability of things in India.

Please give some ideas. I know I can get some of the most brilliant ideas here.

Thanks

Hi all,
We purchased a 30x40 site in Blr in the year 2006. Our plan was to build a house but unfortunately due to certain govt. policies it got held up and this September we started the work after a long wait. now the foundation is complete. But now there is another site to the South of our site which has come up for sale. The site lies on the road itself which means there is a road in front as well as at the back of the site. The whole site faces the road.
I don't believe in Vastu and I found no prblm in buying the site. I think that it is only minds that work in a marriage and no material things can break or make relation ships. More over the road was laid by the people and it is not part of nature.

But my husband and his parents are confused due to two reasons
1) The site is to the south of our plot....As per Vaastu it is not favorable to buy any plot to the south.
2)The entire site faces road....which brings destruction according to Vaastu...

Please any one could you clarify these doubts. Are these relevant? Can you site any example which you have met or experienced..Since we have laid the foundation for our home,it is now or never regards the purchase. Can anyone plz help?
