places in chennai to hang out with kids

hi all

This thread is basically for places in and around valasaravakkam to hang out
with kids in the weekend

im new to this area and i have a 2.5 yr old kid. if any body can help me the places

Vanilla Place - In Chennai

I have been Valsarvakam for quite some time now and I can assure you there is nothing here except for a couple of temples. So disappointing! The corporation is not interested in constructing any play area or park for kids. All I can think of here is a restuarant called Friends Park. You can ask anyone they will tell you where it is, unless you already know. Its a garden restuarant and they have some birds and fish in aquatic tanks. Kids like this place. They also have a play are for kids with sesaw and swings. Even if you dont like the place or the food, you could just order a drink or an ice cream, so that you could hang around with your kid for sometime.
Other than this place, there is absolutely nothing here. You need to check out other areas in Chennai. There is a thread giving this info: Good outings for kids.

Thanks for the info about valasarawakkam area.......i think it will be useful for me when i hang out in that area with my kid.........

and i heard that mayanair is starting some clum called summer mangoes and if u
know about that pls.let me know the details of that
