Embroidery : Kantha work- instructions

wonderfull work done on the saree. Just have a Question..what stitch is used in the fillings? Thanks in advance.

 

such a neat work.. Am trying to learn kantha embroidery and am totally glad I joined Indualadies. Could you pleae let me know what stitch is used in the filling? My guess is - it's stitch also used in chikankari .. sheesha embroidery, (i may be wrong).. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tutorials I remember my mom doing this in Calcutta ..then she told me it was a bangladeshi stitch..please post some more pic it so light so beautiful
