    Hi friends here is another embroidered saree by me...the main stitch is net work. many may mistake ballon stitch as something different...but its nothing but long n short but worked on ballon shaped designs(petals)...
    ususally i like to do embroidery simple..i mean dont like to add glitters like kundans, chamkis...my friends always says that im old fashioned..:)...here i add kundans n beads in this saree..how do u like it....saree is pure hand oven pattu saree...about 30 motifs are there all over the saree...

    Embroidery Net work is superb.
    Clarifications;-
    1]Border for the flowers in net work is CHAIN STITCH?
    2]The ballon stitch has 3 threads for more filled effect?
    3]Anchor threads are used in all your works?
    Its great start of the day for me after having seen the finest handwork.

    hmm this sari was done 2 yrs back...i think i took 20-25 days to complete this sari...but another sari with same work i did...but all only thread works..no kundans and beads..it took me one day to finish each design...

    hi jayashree have seen ur kutch work ...its very intricate work n u did it very well...the colour combination is very nice....

    clarifications:
    1. yes its chain stitch

    2. u mean numberof strands of thread?if yes its done with 2 strands of silk thread.

    3.no i dont use anchor threads..i feel they look dull on silk material...i always use silk htreads..
    if the main stitch itself is long n short then only i take anchor threads...n use one strans only...ok vl post my long n short works with anchor threads shortly for u...

    im nothing in this field of embroidery..lot of explorations have to be done...so many stitches are there yet i have to try on the designs..n many more stitches to be learned..
