Qualification for lecturer\high school teacher in India

    Hi Friends,

    i have done my MCA with 7 years of experience in IT (J2ee) >Currently i am in US.Planning to switch to Teaching profession as its my personal intrest & suites my family needs.
    Targeting to become lecturer or high school (Computers) in India.

    What is the qualification to become high school teacher\lectuter in India?
    Do i need to take up some course,if yes whether in India\US?
    Is there any course in US which may help?
    Is there any website which can help?

    from above description , I believe that you do not need any special course .
    Just try to refresh the basics by using some online & offline resources .

    you also have to check the current syllabus of Indian High Schools &
    Junior / Degree Colleges . If you are confident of your abilities then you
    may also try to start home based tutions / institution in the beginning .

    for the high school syllabus etc., you may see NCERT related sites .
    And for the syllabus of higher studies , you need to check websites
    of different Universities , depending on your future location in India .

    Thanks Ragini. Just want to know if i need to do some UGC courses to join as a lecturer in India?I could not find any good website which provides the qualification to become Lecturer\HS Teacher.

    Suma , I do not see any such course(s) for the lectureship . However you may be interested in the
    National Eligibility Test which can be a good qualification to easily get lecturer job in a professional

    I assumed that you are NOT looking for a Government High School Teacher Job :)
    You do not need any additional qualifications to work in a private High School .

    u doesn't need any qualification if you want to work in private organisation.i worked in an engineering college.your qualification and experience is more than enough good luck.
