That's a great idea to start immediately.
BBC - Languages - French sends online lessons with fantastic sound files. According to me it would be good to start with. Please log in at the above website and request for the lessons to be sent to your email i.d.

. Srama also suggested a good website. We shall learn from that website simultaneously .

I have lots of time on hand and please let me know what can be done. Thanks chandramukhi.

And Frenchsteps - lesson no.1 should be discussed by one of you as soon as you receive it right?

Hey guys,

here's an idea. On the BBC website, it gives a time duration of 12 weeks. so how about we get together once every week and post messages here. Say we start saturday, we can post our progress on next saturday.

The other way of getting together is livemocha lets us find freinds. So we can all register on livemocha with the same userid as in IL and look up one another and do the course together. Does that sound good? Let me know.

Bonjour Ilites,

I have registered on BBC and livemocha.

On livemocha my userid is Chandramukhi so you can add me. I have enrolled in the French course 101.

I noticed that I still could speak a little bit (un petit peut) French since I had it in school ages ago.

So in short:

1. Everyone who wants to join to French lessons, please register to the BBC website and livemocha website.
2. Once a week we will discuss our progress. Srama suggested on Saturdays.
3. Also as Srama suggested lets complete the course in twelve weeks. So around december we should have completed the french course for beginners.

Homework for next week, starting 15 september, discussion on 20 September:

- BBC: step 1 French Class
- Livemocha: French 101 -UNit 1, Lesson 1

Merci, aur revoir.
