Aabhi, being an HR for almost 10 years in the IT, as far as my experience goes...doing any such course just dosen't take you abroad. Unless and until it is some such consulting firm who is going to apply for your visa with fake certificates.

Seeing the current scenario abroad, it is best that he concentrate on getting a job here and gain experience. Then from his company itself he can go on H1 or L1.

There are so many good opportunities in India then why does he want to go abroad.

even I would like to second Roopa's statement.. all these courses alone will not get u a job not only abroad even in India. Most of companies now in India look for analytical, logical and aptitude skills.. ask him to prepare for those and there are so many information available on internet regarding the same...

Hi Aabhi,
I dont think he needs to do anything extra at the moment if he was good in academics. He can get into a job in a company in India. The companies themselves send their employees to abroad. Since he is so interested in going abroad, he can mention this in the interview itself that he is looking forward for abroad opportunities.
Apart from that he can go for higher studies like MTech from any reputed university. Or if he is interested in management, he can opt for MBA too.

Dear Abhi,

I am a software professional and this is what I have to say.

If your cousin is pursuing computer engineering then this is a valuable degree in itself. Tell him to get real good score in his degree. Usually companies recruit engineers and then train then according to their need, what they look for is good logic. So instead of joining a course, according to me he should concentrate on increasing his percentile and also in preparing for aptitude test. A good score in aptitude test is a sure shot entrance to a good company.

Usually the IT companies in India have onsite projects abroad so it will not be a problem for him to move abroad.

There is usually a cut off percentage for freshers, the companies ask then not to apply if they have a score below a certain percentage. So it is very important at this stage to study hard and have a good score.

regards

Shiva
