kavitha,

All the best for your career and future also. Actually there is a demand for nursing careers all over the world. right now US and Canada are in the limelight as there is a shortage of nurses. but would like to give you a word of caution, t he economy in the US is going down that is southwards, so what would happen when you finish 4 years is a big question mark as nothing can be predicted.

But a suggestion, choose a good college with all the facilities for your studies. Nursing does need lot of patience. just analyse yourself if you are prepared for that, because the money may sound interesting, but there is lot of hard work and patience that is being paid.

this is not to discourage you. this is to tell you what you should think before starting your course.

All the best once again.

Kavitha,

If you moving overseas with course you will see success, esp. in US. Your options are oprn beyond being just a nurse. You can be part of research studies and much more. Although the US market is on the downside, medical field is still going strong.

But, I'm not sure how it is in India.

thank you so much shilpa and shanvy for your valuable suggestions. I shall definetely be more cautious and work hard towards the noble profession into which I am going to enter. I always had compassion towards the sick, senior citizens and the little unfortunate kids and always wanted to do something. I always felt that I was born with a purpose and I wish I could be of use to somebody and at the sametime and have a good life for myself. Thank you once again.
