I came across visualization techniques and the benefits of positive affirmations the other day. Has anyone tried it here and found it to be effective? Please share your experiences.

Yes, that's true. But when we repeatedly tell our mind this is what I want and its gonna happen and eventually if it doesn't happen, won't it be difficult to face the reality and disappointment then?

It's not about disappointments, its the biggest drawback if (success=happy) else (disappointment), because it drops one into the state of confusion with a pile of other ingredients, so the best thing is to try to boost up self confidence levels and work accordingly whatever might be the end result, one should learn to accept it......

I haven't CB - probably should be doing good, or else there wouldn't be these techniques right.

Also they must be conditioning the mind to come out of a failure and visualize tackling that failure.

@Kishoreg-yes, we should have the ability to accept whatever happens without feeling too bad about it.

@GG-your post came at the right time. I was just reading about the laws of attraction. Won't we attract failure if we visualize it. May be we can just condition the mind to accept any outcome without visualizing the failure part!!!!

CB - visualizing a failure and visualizing tackling a failure - aren't they different :)

Hmm...put that way, they are different. It should give us more strength to face the result (whatever it is).
