Hi

Don't know about institutes to join...but guess using materials like Kaplan, previous papers etc. would be a good start.

All the best.

Cheers
Jenz

Hi,

I would suggest you set aside atleast 3 months for serious preparation..
Since the quantitative section is of 10th standard difficulty, I think you should be able to handle it on your own.

The verbal section might need more study since it tests the usage of English grammar..

You can join forums like Scoretop and Pagalguy, and get tips from there to plan your studies.

Hope this helps,

Regards,
Sowmya

Hi,

Which month - that depends on your target university or Business School, and how much preparation you think would suffice for you.

3 months of study is an average length of time to prepare for the GMAT.

Are you planning to do MBA in India or the US?

India - I guess the IIMs and ISB Hyderabad are among the few institutions that accept a GMAT score..you might want to check up their websites to find out when they start admissions for the coming year.

USA - Most MBA programs start in the Fall, or in August. The deadlines are usually around February/March. Hence, you need to take your exams around a year before the course starts, because the admission process is somewhat slow in the US.

Hope this helps,

Regards,
Sowmya
