Want to do CPA in US

Hi everyone,

I am interested in doing CPA, can anybody guide me.

1. i would like to know is there any office in Michigan where i can submit my creditentials.
2. Is there anyone doing CPA here in USA, i have done my MBA, do you know how many hours is needed to qualify .

Hello Rose - welcome to IL. I am a CPA here in KS. I can help you with any questions you may have regarding this. First step in this process is to get in touch with the MI Board of accountancy DLEG - Accountancy. Although the exam is a uniform exam for the entire country, the license itself is governed by the state. Also check out American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. for additional information. I know that the minimum requirement to even sit for th exam is 150 hours of college education. The local board will give you more details about this. I was living in MD at the time I took the exam and hence I had to get my Indian credentials evaluated - your state board will be able to help you here.
