Hi akshaya,
good to know that u guys didnt want to know your baby gender. Even my DH was against knowing the gender but somehow when i was in tht scan and the technician asked me if we want to know the gender I couldnt resist myself from saying "Yes".

Hi Everyone,
Here is my update - Got the GD results and everything turned out normal. My weight gain is 4lbs from the last appt which is probably little more than normal. Baby is also measuring 2 days ahead.

iya, Welcome to the Feb 2010 mommies group. Its always nice to share some updates with people who are having similar experiences around.

Akshaya, I must say that surprise is nice to have, but I can't be on suspense for so long. Couldn't even wait until week 20 to find the gender.

Hello All,

Our doc said the EDD is in the first days of March however i feel the little one wd be born by end of Feb.

I have always been lean all along for years and once I got pregnant I crossed 50kgs and i am very excited as I love to be hefty.

Now am gradually increasing, but suddenly when any one sees me cant say that I am pregnant when I wear some loose dress.

Here as usual doc didnt giv any tablets but said if you want you can continue folic acid tabs and take vitamin tabs. I was worried that I was not gaining much weight even when doc said the baby was normal. So now for abt 10 days I am taking Cod Liver tabs and zinc tabs.

I can feel the movement a lot but not sure if they are kicks :)

Can any of you let me know from when we gotta start applying the cream on our tummy to avoid stretch marks.

As per my doctors advise , it is better to start applying strech mark cream before actually it appears, or when u see slight stretch marks. I have started it applying but nt daily 3 days in a week or so and shall slightly massage it .

Congrats on your pregnancy. Looks like your pregnancy is bringing in more joy to you. Not only the baby but you seem to have gained weight which you have always longed for. Enjoy your happy moments.

As far as the strectch marks are concerned, it will take a long time to heal. In some cases, they remain throughout and I believe most of it is heridatary.

I am also due on Feb 4th but feel that baby will arrive in Jan. Nothing can be predicted. Every baby comes with their own birthdate.

How r u all? Any updates... for the past 2 days i have some pricking kind of sensation in my left side lower abdomen.. I cant say it is a pain. I have my doctors appointment on sat.. is it anything to worry? have anybody experienced it?

i am also having this pain not always, especially when going to rest room.
Later it vanishes. I checked with my doctor she told tats not a prob and told me to eat more water and fruits.

I too have this pricking kind of feeling once in a while... its like the LO out there has grabbed a safety pin from my dressing table and playing it with it on my tummy... :)

I had my sugar test done and they took 6 tubes of blood huh... once blood was taken with empty stomach and twice after giving me sugar syrup in 1hr gap. This is usual test between 24 to 28th week for Gestational Diabetics i got to knw... I was given an injection for the first time after pregnancy - vaccine for Flue (not Swine flue) but normal flue. Doc said i can expect fever or tiredness or hand swelling...

Within minutes of that injection i felt giddy in the hospital and laid down on bed for an hour before they took my 3rd round of Blood and returned home :) after a little rest am now doing fine.
